Two readings~

A few days ago, (April 15th to be exact…) I had 2 drawings that I thought were talking about the same thing. One draw was with the good old Gypsy cards, which are becoming increasingly more interesting! and the other was with the Playing cards.

With the Gypsy, I had:

and with the Playing cards I had:

With the Gypsy draw, I settled on either a message that was going to be “not so nice” for the Sweetheart (me) or that it was literally a message from someone who would be considered an enemy to me. Now I don’t think of anyone as my enemy! not really – it’s not the way I’m wired; but the Enemy card has come up in the past, referring to my ex-husband! Sad but true. As much as I have tried to have a friendship with him these past 10 years, it has been unbalanced and much more of an illusion than I realised for a long time. I sadly discovered that he had some major hang-ups still, over our split. So, unfortunately that’s him.

A message from my ex, coming to me….

Now with the Playing cards, I drew the King of Spades + 6 of Diamonds + Queen of Hearts.

He is always signified as the King of Spades. The 6 of Diamonds can mean communications, especially having to do with computers and the internet. It’s my email card among other things; and of course, the Queen of Hearts is me.

So here is another indicator of communications from my ex to me.

I promptly forgot about it, because I figured it had to be wrong! lol Recently, he said some horrible untruths about me on a phone call with my present husband. It hurt a lot. I knew that I would never contact him again, now that our kids are of age, and I figured after that outburst, I wouldn’t be hearing from him any time soon either!

Lo and behold! Today, April 18th (only 3 days later) I received not 1 message from him, but 3!!! Three emails! They were only forwards, but I just couldn’t believe that he had bothered…what’s the point???

The cards were right, even though I didn’t believe them! Go figure!

Ecclesiastic – Marriage – Sweetheart

Oh my God! it’s April 17th and it’s started to snow outside!! Unbelievable – not good for the flowers, that’s for sure!

I hadn’t planned on sharing another Gypsy draw, as I’ve posted a few in a row, but today’s draw intrigued me so much that I wanted to share it with you.

My husband, upon seeing them, thought it was a “sweetheart” of a deal with the so-called Spiritual group that he’s been legally battling 🙂

Actually, considering my other draws that accompanied these, that’s very possible!

We’ve noticed that many times when the Sweetheart comes up in one of our readings, it doesn’t necessarily fit to think of the card as me, or a Queen of Hearts/Cups type of person. Sometimes it’s describing a feeling instead; such as loving, nurturing, something really wonderful. I’ve never seen this written about before, but that’s been our experience of the card.

Now, Ecclesiastic/Marriage might be just that, a beautiful union! maybe there will be a marriage on my side of the family…. or a new level of closeness within my own marriage….

What I saw though, (and kept to myself) was that I was making a Spiritual commitment, or a commitment to my Spirituality…….somehow, more so than in the past. That message made me grin and feel really pleased.

I’ve been promising myself that I would get back to meditating every day, and last night while pondering my life, made a firm commitment to spiritual practice and study. I had recently decided that there were a few disciplines in card reading that I wanted to study on a deeper level as well. Last night had been pivotal in my mental process for some reason! lol , so to see these cards the following morning, really made me smile. It’s as the cards were saying “Good Job!”

Gypsy cards on a winning streak~

Another draw with the Gypsy cards, in the same vein as the last post, was this:

These were drawn the day before our friends wired us some money, so this draw on one level was referring to that episode.

The following day though, I finally picked up the mail after dodging it for a week (not wanting to get any more bills!! lol) and found a refund check in the mail for my husband that was a decent amount – we weren’t going to go out on the town with it or anything, but  it definitely brought some Unexpected Joy to his face (and mine)! lol

In one instance, the Letter referred to a wire, and in another, the regular post. It could have also hinted to an email or a fax, but not this time.

Friendship~

Hopefully I will get the time later today to share something that I discovered about reading with the playing cards! I went from being sidelined with back problems to running around with my head cut off for house showings – what a year it’s been all ready 🙂

About  a week or so ago, things were very tight financially and we were worrying over how we were going to meet a few of our commitments. I drew these cards back then, and they came true in a way I wouldn’t have predicted.

Out of the blue, a friend of ours called up and said that they were wiring ‘some money’ to help us out over the hump, until our funds came through. We were both so shocked, as this person doesn’t have all that much money either; but out of love and friendship wanted to help us.

So there was the love, and some money (not tons) that brought a smile to our faces.

Ironically, there had been another draw that was similar, and I had missed it’s true meaning. If I remember correctly, it was:

Here again, it showed a friend sharing their love for us by giving us a gift. When I originally drew it, I thought I was just seeing that our friend was getting a gift for their mate, or something similar. I had no reason to think it was for us really!

You find out who your real friends are in the midst of adversity…..

Tarot and the Kipper links

I’ve had some struggles as of late, and they’ve kept me from journaling on a regular schedule. I am always thinking about the cards, and writing about them, so it’s very frustrating for me when I can’t!!! So many ideas, and never enough personal time…..

In my working with the cards this morning, I was once again intrigued to see how the different oracles correspond together. They all are picking up on my energy at that moment, so I shouldn’t be surprised per se, but I’m an enthusiastic card reader and can’t help but appreciate the magic 🙂

In the tarot, I did a Celtic spread. The message was all about my husband’s legal affairs. Over the years, I have adapted the Celtic to include a few extra cards. In the middle, I always have 3 instead of 2 (it’s a case of always wanting more! lol)

In this case, I had:

In this example, I would read the 2 of Cups and the 5 of Swords together, as telling me the Present situation; and the 8 of Swords as what crossed them (in other words, the 8 of Swords is what influences the other cards)

On a regular basis, the 5 of Swords comes up for me as meaning “dispute, arguement, discord”. When the spread is telling me something about the legal, I can substitue the word “dispute” for the 5 of Swords. (It has also shown itself to mean a psychic/shamanic attack – but that’s another story)

The 2 of cups says that there is a meeting taking place, possibly even an agreement coming into Reality, but the 8 of Swords tells me that it’s not because they want to….they’re trapped, and have to come to the table over this.

Later on, I discovered this exact same message being expressed in the Kipper cards.

Great Luck – Meetings – Prison

There is good fortune, good luck around meetings……meetings that are forced! Meetings because they have no other choice!! Another interpretation of #4 Meetings & #29 Prison, is a meeting taking place in a big public building –

2 of Cups and #4 Meetings correlate, and the 8 of Swords and#29 Prison definitely correlate! The cards have been showing a change for quite awhile – but in the last week, they have become ‘in-your- face’, so I’m on alert. I think we’re going to be getting a phone call soon 🙂

I have another example I want to share; this time conerning the playing cards, but it needs to be a separate post.
