Gypsy cards and Kapherus’ Spread~

Our neighborhood has been having internet problems over the past few weeks, so I never know when I’m going to be able to write! at least we’re getting a discount for the poor service!

The other day, I tried out Kaph’s streamlined lenormand spread, but with the Gypsy cards instead. It seems to work very well with other oracles as well.

You shuffle the deck, focusing on a topic for the question. In my example, I focused on the Money card (what a surprise!). Then you lay down 5 cards, whether from the top of the deck (as I do) or by fanning out the cards and picking 5.

The middle position is seen as the ‘House of Money’, and whatever falls in that position will get combined for an answer. You then read the cards traditionally, from left to right, expanding on the message of the middle position.

Here is my example:

My question had been “where is the 1st batch of money going to come from? the legal or somewhere else?”.
You can see that I actually drew the Money card as part of the reading. Kapherus says that this just affirms to him that he focused well on his question.

First, I look at the middle position, and see the Enemy card with the ‘invisible’ money card.
At the moment, when the Enemy comes up in a draw for me, it’s referring to a literal Enemy – the only one that my family has – the nasty woman in the legal suit.

So this tells me that money ought to be coming from that direction first.

Death – Money says to me there is a change in financial circumstances, and that the “Enemy” is involved with that change.

Message – House says that there will be word, or news coming to the Home/family.

Interesting…….something seems to be brewing up, and funny enough, as I’m writing this my husband is getting some information about the defendant from an informant! My life has become SO strange in the past few years…

I’ll update on this as soon as I know anything-

Gypsy Cards~

This was a draw that I jotted down in my notebook on September 29th. I remember teasing my husband, asking him if he was going to surprise me with a gift, which was unlikely because of financial restrictions at the moment. I remember thinking, humph! fat chance! LOL and dismissed the draw.

Then, literally 2 days later I was totally shocked and surprised to discover that a thoughtful friend had sent me a gift!! Totally out of the blue, from the  least likely person I would guess and it definitely brought me Unexpected Joy.

The gift hasn’t arrived in the mail yet, but I was fascinated that the Gypsy cards had picked up on the kindness that was about to be bestowed upon me! I will update when the gift arrives 🙂

Keeping a journal certainly helps seeing how the cards work.

Gyspy draws-

It’s amazing to me that just when all seems to about to turn Golden, that all Hell breaks loose. Have you ever found that to be true?

I had been having fantastic readings showing all the positive changes, and then one day recently, I had a slew of pretty upsetting draws. I had a hunch that it had to do with a  blowout with my partner, but hoped I was wrong. Two of the Gypsy card draws are below to show an example, and what I learned about these cards.

I had entertained the thought that these were referring to my ex-husband. I have often thought that there is resentment and jealousy at how my life went forward after I split from him. I know that he is jealous of my mate. So with the brewing legal arguement coming over a 10 year old divorce settlement (!!) I thought that maybe I was going to get a doozy of a letter from him. But I was wrong in my assumptions.

The Widower wasn’t a man from my past, but rather my present mate stewing over some past ‘issues’.

Jealousy did indeed rear it’s ugly head, and it had to do with past hurts and resentments. So in the first draw, the Widower/Lover was all about him.

The Second draw also was about my husband, being angry over a past issue and writing me a not so nice letter to vent his frustrations!

Why is it that the not so nice readings come about so much more quickly than the hopeful/nice ones????? I’d say in my case, that that statement is about 95% true!

Thankfully, there have been some soothing drawings since 🙂 and the air has cleared. I’m ready for the golden draws now!

Money – Desire – Gift

Money is first, so I would like to think that my “desire” for money is fulfilled, and seen as a Gift from the Universe 🙂

We’ve been through a very challenging time financially recently.

Now interestingly, 🙂  the Desire card can be describing a fair haired woman, who lives far away, or is difficult to deal with. If that is the case, it is describing the woman in the legal suit. I see Money coming from her then, and if so, it would be seen almost like a “gift” after so many of years of fighting for it! The Gift card also means a happy surprise– money coming from anywhere will certainly be that!! lol

Practically all of my draws today, seemed to show somthing happening around this woman….hopefully I will get to know about it asap.

On a different level, the Money card can also represent well-being. Possibly my deep desire for well-being is gifted to me? I’m really not sure about this one– that’s all I can come up with at the moment.

Gypsy cards sharing a message I just didn’t understand :(

I drew these 3 cards this morning amongst some others, and sat on them. To be honest, they just weren’t speaking to me! It is now getting late, and the answer has come.

It was a very strange day, energy wise- dealing with an ex-husband who was really annoying and then a not so nice encounter later with my present partner. Things were said, that felt mean and unfair; that’s the only way I can describe the way I feel about it. We ended up at different ends of the house after dinner!

I was perusing Esther Gombor’s great blog, and lo and behold! she was writing about the card Misfortune! A piece of the puzzle fit in the learning the language of the Gypsy cards 🙂

Misfortune can refer to the dismantling of something. It reminds me a bit of the Tower card in the tarot- where everything is falling apart after being struck by lightening…. in this case, it was telling me this morning that my faith and feelings of loyalty towards the Dog (which is the one you trust in the Lenormand) would be dismantled in some way today. It was telling me that my feelings would be rocked in some manner. I never dreamt that I would end up feeling mistrustful in a sense towards both my ex-husband, and my now husband of 10 years in the same day! how odd is that?

I didn’t have a clue of this this morning, and would have bet against it even if I had understood! But early evening, there I was getting a major lecture, full of criticism on the flaws of my character! not only was it skewed and somewhat of a projection of his fear, but it hurt very deeply. And frankly, it made me think and feel differently about this man. He will pick the damnest times to go off on a tangent over the smallest of things.

We are so completely different… to me, the little things don’t matter too much in the scheme of things. I can take a lot of things in stride without getting bothered. He’s just the opposite, and allows inconsequential things to upset his apple cart! Opposites really do attract..

I’m afraid that these episodes are eroding my faith in my feelings and in us. That’s a terrible thing to admit, but when someone knocks you for something little, when we’re facing a lot worse, it feels warped to me.

And then there’s the ex…I’ve worked very hard since we divorced to always be kind, never speak ill of him to our children, and give him the benefit of the doubt…just to have him try to use our present difficulties to his advantage! Not a good day for me with the two men I have trusted the most in my life!!!! yikes-

So, the cards were right, even though I didn’t get it! hmmm…I’m glad that I saw improvements in my present relationship and in life’s challenges in the next month! Kipper and Gypsy draws

As I just wrote on my sister blog, The Lenormand Oracle, all of my draws were talking about the same thing today!

I don’t think I’ve ever had that happen before – from Tarot Celtic spread to Oracle cards – all about the same topic, so something major must be about to happen.

Here we have  Court – Coffin – Love and Friendship.

The combination of Court and Coffin give the meaning of an ending to a legal matter, or a court decision. It’s finally coming to an end.

Love and Friendship says that it ends well for us, that we’re happy. Pleasant outcome to this situation, there is an agreement.

The Gypsy cards reflected another part of this theme:

Wow! Visit can mean literally that, as in Fortune visits us; or it can refer to a meeting.

A meeting taking place, that brings about the fortune coming from the legal matter.

The Judge is either referring to the actual Judge in this matter playing a role in ending it”, or it’s just describing that it’s an official matter, or fair justice.

It definitely means money is coming and that this is being resolved fairly.

It’s rare that I actually get excited over card draws, they’re more of a puzzle for me to happily play with; but today, it’s like the bird hitting the window! It’s saying “take note – something major is happening!”

I’d be surprised if this went past this week without some kind of news. I will update as always 🙂
