Tea Leaf reading

I know that I haven’t  been sharing other card decks recently, and I apologise, I will try to post other oracle decks too. Time has been very scarce lately and I’ve wanted to practice with these cards more 🙂 This deck just grows and grows on me!

Today I drew: Coins – Mountain Road – Gong – Staff

Coins: Money will be coming to you  (!! hip hip!!)

Mountain Road: You are on the road to success

Gong: An exciting event

Staff: You will be taken care of in difficult times

Well, that’s pretty exciting, and pretty self explanatory!

I keep getting hints in all my readings that something major is about to happen. It could be about a few different things, or maybe none of them at all…..maybe I’ll win the lottery after all

Weekly Drawing – Tea Leaf Cards

Click on the picture to see it more closely-

I drew these this morning, and following the last reading, I am grateful to see these cards!

The Tiger, for me, always represents my husband. He is a Tiger in the Chinese Zodiac and fits it to a tee. They have 2 sides for sure – and you can see my hand at the back, trying to soothe just a bit, the unpredictable Tiger, wondering if I’ll get my hand bit off!

Target describes my husband very well. He is very goal oriented and can’t understand why others don’t follow suit to the degree he does.

Butterfly means a change for the better; and the following card Barrel says that something I feel is lacking is going to change for the better….or something that he (?) feels is lacking is going to get better? Most likely both!

It is my hope that these cards say that conditions surrounding us take a turn for the better, and that he doesn’t bite the hand that tries to soothe him.

Why do people turn on the ones closest to them? lashing out? it’s a very short-sighted thing to do!

Another way to read this possibly is that the very goal oriented Tiger has a change for the better around something seen as lacking.

I would like to think it relates to me, and I wonder what Rae would say was her experience. But oracle cards for me often talk about other people around me, and are not always necessarily a message directly to do with me. It’s one of those grey areas that I just have to follow my intuition on, and then come back and see if I was right.

I’m hoping the message means both!

Update:The message did end up meaning both and in a very surprising way. Yes, for me personally, things got better between my Metal Tiger and myself. It was a tough week work-wise and full moon -wise (!) but there were improvements in our relationship in a way that I had hoped for.

On another level, I was shocked at how these cards pinpointed an event for my husband. In general terms I will share that he has been deeply involved in negotiating a big land deal for his company. It has been a grueling few months getting it just right. Funds had been delayed, and the deal was left floating. This week, my husband learned some critical information about loans owed by the other party and had one of the creditors contact his lawyer. It literally was a game changer on the deal and will mean that he will save millions on this project.

Rae’s warning about being careful for what you wish for turned out to be very true though, because my husband is not a cut-throat when it comes to business, he and I firmly believe in karma. With that in mind, he has carefully tried to find the middle road for a fair deal on both sides, in light of the new information. It is a very tricky process!

So yes! these cards are very quickly becoming one of my favorite oracles (although nothing will take the place of the lenormand in my heart!! lol) — simply uncanny so far 🙂

I Ching Cards~

I have had 2 great books on the I Ching that I have referred to off and on for a few years. One I’ve scanned in here: Front & Back

Some years ago, a friend gifted me with a set of I Ching cards which are beautiful. I don’t know where they came from, but a quick search on the web and I discovered quite a few other beautiful decks! haha…might have to collect a few now!

I drew a card late last night, and then looked up the hexagram in my book…I seem to have a definite theme going on!

Here’s the card:

I scanned in the card and added the title to the card. This is hexagram # 52 – “Meditation- Keeping Still”. From the book:

“There is a focus now upon your inner perspective. It is of particualr importance at this time that you mediatate upon the object of your inquiry. Meditation here refers to a state where your thoughts do not go beyond the situation at hand. It is not a single act but a frame of mind, Once the mind is calm and the ego quelled, you will transcend your internal turmoil. Your inner stillness will bring enlightenment by objectifying your impressions. Meditation and inner calm will help to center you. Hold your thoughts to to the present and attempt an unprejudiced view of the situation. Actions that spring  from this attitude will be appropiate and well regarded. Stop your thoughts now.”

This continues the message of the last few days, of needing to be introspective and almost retreat. This, I have done. I spent a good part of last night, awake, but in a calm receptive state…and I did feel a shift. This morning, when I webcammed with hubby, he was in a very agitated state; upset and worried about his daughter. I was able to come from a more balanced and calm position, which helped the dynamics of our interaction greatly.

Sometimes, the greatest thing you can do is to step back from people and stiuations, and become the observer…not to react. I held my “tone” and stayed centered 🙂 In a strange way, this time alone has been a blessing for me. I feel as though I am rearranging my insides and perspective. Because of this I will be a magnet for different responses and experiences. It’s all so fascinating!

Kipper cards!

Hooray! my first play with the Mystical Kipper! now don’t get too excited…I don’t think they’ve actually come out with an English version yet, at any rate, mine aren’t. I decided to scan them in and do some fiddling in Paint Shop Pro to give English translations to the cards….(I really am a Virgo! lol) The artwork on these are wonderful. I’ve tried 2 or 3 throws, and my daughter did one too…they were apt and not too difficult understand. I think they will be a fun addition, especially just for a daily draw practice:)  I drew:

  • (15)Love & Friendship,
  • (26)Great Happiness &
  • (7)Good Letters

To me, there is either great news coming from our good friend, that the deal is done and we’re celebrating 🙂 OR I end up receiving a really loving email from my spouse who’s away from home at the moment! Both would be nice! lol

These cards are so cute!!
