A busy, frantic time!

Hope those in Canada had a wonderful time yesterday…Happy Canada Day 🙂 Being an American who’s become a Canadian citizen, I get to enjoy a week of festivities every July! lol

I’ve been absent from blogging due to moving house over the last 2 weeks. We are happy to be ensconced in a lake house for the next 6 months…oh the peace….

My cards showed the move a month or two before we knew we’d have to vacate the other condo!

I wanted to share a series of draws that I’ve had over the time we moved, starting with:

I am the woman, and what surrounds me is the scythe and mice. This could have indicated stressful decisions (which during the move there definitely were) but I was fascinated to discover that it can also mean ‘breaking down’.

I’m a very steady, emotionally solid person 99.9% of the time – I’ve been through trials that would break a lot of people, and didn’t me. During this move though, there was an altercation between my mate and I that set me back to the Stone Age. I didn’t know which way was up! I had been working my butt off to clean the condo that we’d vacated  and was exhausted, only to return to someone who was bent on picking a fight. You know the kind, no matter what you do or say, it’s not going to matter?

It went so far, that I completely lost it and wept on a bed for hours and hours. We didn’t talk for 24 hours, and the next day, he was conciliatory.

So Scythe/Mice described what happened to me perfectly, although I never would have guessed it prior to it happening. I hope you never find yourself with that card combination meaning this! because it’s awful!…..’stressful decisions’ I would have much preferred for a meaning!

A day later, after efforts to bring back normalcy, my husband drew these 3 cards as part of bigger spread:

The Sun and Storks hints at positive improvements. The Birds can represent a couple.

The combinations of Storks/Birds can mean progress in a relationship or improved intimacy.

I was very relieved to see these cards! We were feeling much closer and healing our rift by this point, and it was just darn nice to see in his cards that he was feeling better too.

Stress is a real killer!

This morning’s Lenormand draw –

Well, the cards have been hinting at it for awhile, but I chose to ignore it. I drew these cards this morning, and exclaimed “oh crap” I think we ARE going to have to move!

I knew we were going to move eventually, like Sept. but not in 28 days!

We got a call from the landlady who lives in another province. She had been waffling back and forth about possibly selling the property. She also could get large rents per week, as a holiday rental.

Unfortunately for us, there is someone who has a bit of influence here who got annoyed with my husband. He complained (to her) about her leaving her dogs out unattended and letting them bark. Their favorite place happens to be outside our kitchen window! Now I’m a real dog lover, I’ve had them all my life – but I’ve always been very sensitive to making sure that my dogs were good neighbors.

Literally only a few days after he complained, we hear from our landlady that she received a few emails saying that he had accessed her other property and had moved furniture around – 1) we didn’t know which other unit was hers and 2) we would have no way to enter that property! nor would we.

She didn’t believe the email, but used it as an excuse to not to have to renew our lease. So there’s the Snake around our home – someone up to no good/ trouble around our residence; with the result being that we’re being forced to move. In all my years on the planet, I’ve never had to deal with something so outrageous (and for me, personally hurtful).

I’ve had other readings that show tremendous luck and fortunate synchronicities around me, and being happy about moving – so we’ll see! I’m doing my best to trust that the Universe has something better in store for me 😀  If I’m totally honest, there are things about living here that neither of us really liked, but it was convenient for my husband’s flight school training. I’m just going to have to surrender on this….

Good Old Lenormand :)

A week ago, I started to have terrible problems with a back molar. A chunk of it had fallen off and the nerve became exposed…painful! I got into the dentist and they thought they could save the tooth . After A LOT of novocaine (it always takes me more than the average person) and a big bill to match, I walked out with a temp crown and a numb mouth.

As the days passed, my mouth and tooth didn’t improve though. My jaw swelled up so much that I couldn’t close my mouth properly, and I couldn’t eat. The pain was excruciating even with the strong pain meds 😦  I was rushed back in, and the dentist said he had never seen swelling like that before (Ha! leave it to me, as always!)

He gave me a prescription for it and we all hoped it would get better.

Now, after more days of waiting…finally the swelling is going down! The antibiotics seem to be saving the day 🙂

I drew these cards the day I went back to the dentist, without giving much thought to them.

Tree combined with Letter can have the meaning of prescriptions, and that wasn’t on my radar when I drew these cards. The final card, key, brings a resolution to a problem.

So these 3 cards were telling me that a prescription would solve the health problem I was having.

It seems to be doing just that! although I’m still not able to eat very much – a forced diet, yuck! lol

I must admit though, I dread going back for the fitting of the permanent crown after all of this…..

Now, if only I could get my graphics to post the way they look before I publish! Gotta love WordPress 😦

Lenormand Arlo and the Gypsy cards-

I had mentioned in a reading using the Gypsy cards on The Card Lover, that I would receive a gift that would bring unexpected joy. I didn’t believe it at the time, to be honest 🙂 mainly because I couldn’t think of anyone or anything.

The next day I got the really unexpected joy of finding out that a friend of mine had ordered something to be sent to me, but I didn’t know what. She gifted me with my very own copy of the Lenormand Arlo deck! To say I am tickled pink would be putting it mildly. I just love the illustrations on this simple, traditional deck.

Arlo and his wife Christine, are the wonderful team behind Lavengro. Be sure to check out their other unique items.

I will be featuring this wonderful deck regularly ~ I love it so much that I’m being exclusive with it, lol, I don’t want anyone else fiddling with it!

Fox – Rider – Bouquet:

The Rider/Bouquet combination heralds wonderful news! The Fox card, for me, has to do with work/employment. I grinned when I saw these and crossed my fingers, that we would finally be receiving the happy news we’ve been waiting for .

I drew these Wednesday morning, I think, just before I sprained my ankle……only a few minutes ago I  actually received the news: the bank has cleared the funds and they should be transferred on Monday! so being in limbo is about to come to an end! hooray! Work is going to begin in earnest, next week.

The cards have been insisting that good changes were on the horizon, sometimes it’s just hard to be patient 🙂

On Oct 14th (2 days ago) I drew these cards with the Gypsy deck:

I remember laughing and saying to my husband that it looked like I was going to be the one to receive the good news! That statement seemed pretty unlikely since I rarely get to the phone before my husband does! seriously-

This morning, he headed out to the local bakery to pick up a freshly baked loaf of Raisin bread (yumm). While he was out, sure enough the phone rang and I was the one to get the message from our business partner that the money was on the way! I never pick up the phone!! it just cracks me up that the Gypsy cards foretold that I would be sitting in the office at the computer just when he would call….amazing!

Bouquet – Woman – Lily – Moon

These 4 cards were the Trigger row of a reading I did this morning with Madame Seaqueen’s Trigger Spread. It shows the crux of what the reading was about.

The Bouquet card is either describing the Woman or is an action card. Since it is my reading, I hope it is both! lol

Describing the woman, she is a kind lovely woman…good energy 🙂 as a separate descriptor it could be saying that she is receiving a gift, or a wish is coming true; the two remaining cards tell what about.

The Lily and the Moon read separately would say to me that the woman (me) is going to be given the gift of emotional peace/serenity; calmer waters are coming.

It’s in combining them that my eyebrows raised, especially because of the remainder of the reading. The Lily/Moon combination describes clairvoyance, meditative spiritual experiences. It’s the combination that denotes visions and psychic experiences.

I have had drawings recently showing my impatience and angst at having that part of my life seemingly to have gone on sabbatical for awhile, and once you’re used to having visions and other experiences, you miss them when they’re gone!!! at least I have:)

I have been offline because of personal pressure and stress. I didn’t feel that I had much to write about, frankly. I don’t know about you, but when I’m really ‘off’ personally, my connection to the cards goes off too. So I’ve been silent.

In the last week, especially, I’ve noticed while I’ve retreated, that I’m starting to experience little things again. I’ve been seeing auras each day, and have been seeing beautiful colored spheres of light at night. I’ve also been hearing things 🙂 ( in a good way) – so it’s very possible that I’m about to have some kind of spiritual experience that will be noteworthy and the cards are letting me know it. There was a hint in the reading that this experience is linked to an emotional crisis/or upset. I don’t like that, but will report back once I know more.

Please forgive my absence as of late, but I’ve really needed to pull in my energy. I’m a bit in Hermit mode 🙂 this too shall pass and then I will breathe new life into my cartomancy.

fondest wishes,

Daily draws as themes for bigger issues…

I’ve been having some haunting dreams; dreams of someone I know from the past, dying. Since I was little, I’ve had many ‘correct’ death dreams, and this feels like one of them. What has been creepy, (but confirmation) is that I also keep getting messages in the cards of a death, so I’m holding my breath.

The Gypsy has been the most direct with draws like

MessageDeathSweetheart  or

or the playing cards, here’s an example:

No matter what the card system, the card for a certain man I know from the past is represented, and news of a passing connected with him.

I’m writing this early, without my notebook, so I’m trying to remember examples that I’ve written down….

I do remember 03 Ship20 Garden08 Coffin(ship-garden-coffin) it was connected with other cards like the Lily and the Cross…. Garden+Coffin could mean funeral, and the ship either showing that I will be travelling to one, or that that the funeral is quite far away.

At any rate, I thought I’d better once more document that something is brewing up, both in the cards and in my dreams, although not a happy thing.

On the flip side, I continue to draw lots of draws around the legal (UGGHH!) which comes to a head next week; and they show a payout on the settlement……and lots of draws around business (money is due in today)

What I thought would be daily draws, very often times seem to be more weekly draws!!! These 3 themes show up over and over. If there is a spat between hubby and wife, that’s an hourly draw! lol

Has anyone else noticed their dailies stretching out, being more of a message on a bigger theme, rather than a small daily message? It might stay that way until these bigger issues are resolved, frankly. Since they’re the most dominant things on my mind, that’s what I continually draw about……..I am so ready for new themes!!!! LOL

Showing a death-

Hi everyone,

I’ve been offline having been awfully busy with my youngest daughter’s high school graduation. I was so proud. She made High Honors for the year, and only 30 in her graduating class managed that 🙂 It’s hard to believe that my baby will be starting University in the Fall.

My last draw has not come to pass yet….it’s been 3 days? absolutely nothing comes close to being interpreted as Merriment-Unexpected Joy-Fortune….not even my daughter’s graduation! So I’m still puzzled as to what that’s talking about.

I continued to read cards and drew these 3 playing cards the morning of Thursday, June 26.

Ace of Spadesjack-spadesKingSpades

I thought that it might be describing my ex-husband. He’s always the King of Spades or the King of Swords. The Jack next to him describes him as a man from my past, but also the Jack of Spades shows up for me to describe someone who is shifty, or lying. This is true for him!

The Ace of Spades, can denote a worried mind, troubles; so my first inclination was to say that he was worrying about what he did, and it was causing him some grief.

Then another thought crossed my mind. I said, hesitantly, I wonder if this could mean a sudden death of a man?The Ace of Spades with 2 other spades can sometimes predict a passing. Seeing the Jack of Spades is similar to the Page of Swords in the tarot; which can mean sudden news.

We both just looked at each other, wondering if someone we knew was going to pass…

My husband during the same card reading time, drew these 3 lenormand cards:

I had taken this to mean, mysterious death…or questions/doubt around a passing. This all happening at a distance from us.

Neither of us had a clue and just noted it down for June 26th.

It was later that day that the news media announced that Michael Jackson had passed away. There have been growing questions about prescription medications that he was taking as well.

It wasn’t until late that night, that it dawned on me that those two draws were talking about a news event and not something within our family. His passing was so strong in the ethers, that our cards even picked it up.

No matter what you thought about the controversy surrounding his life, he was a brilliant entertainer and we were deeply saddened by the news.

Lenormand and Kipper Reading~

I have experimented in the past with combining Lenormand with both the tarot and the playing cards, with excellent results. I was about to do another spread with one of them, when I saw my Kipper cards out of the corner of my eye.

The Kipper cards are 36 in number, just like the Lenormand, so I wondered if  it would combine and make any sense? Well did I ever get a surprise! They work brilliantly together!

First I shuffled the Lenormand deck with the intention of combining, and knowing that there would be 5 pairs. I did the same with the Kipper deck. Then I picked the top card of the Lenormand, then the top card of the Kipper, and placed them in the first column. I then continued picking the top card alternatively until I had 5 pairings.

It definitely tells a story.

Mice + #5 Good Lord-  The mice card is all about stress and worry connected with the Good Lord. The Good Lord, I thought at first, was my husband – but upon doing a little research, realized my mistake. The Good Lord represents Authority, and Good Council among some other things. What this is referring to is the stress around dealing with the lawyers, and the legal process. It’s been very frustrating.

Clover +#1 Principle Man- The Principle Man is the correct designated card to represent my husband. Combined with the Clover it shows some kind of positive outcome for him; a lucky twist of fate. It reassures that there is something about to happen that will be beneficial to my mate. It also might have the timing of 2 days, or 2 weeks. Interestingly, this is the exact time that we are to return to the states to appear in court again.

Coffin + #9 A Change- Wow! How odd that I would get both “Change” cards together in the middle of the reading. The Coffin card talks about major changes, of completing a cycle and starting something new. I tend to relate it to the Death card in the Tarot, and don’t necessarily see it as bad at all. It’s a transition period.

Now interestingly, the Change card in the Kipper also talks about important change, but it can also be referring to another city, another place! It seems pretty obvious to me, that something major is going to happen when we fly back to the states for the next phase of the legal dispute. The Change card in the Kipper also advises remaining flexible, of being adaptable. So my husband may have to stay open in negotiating an ending to this.

Bear +#15 “Good Outcome in Love”or “Love & Friendship”-

Another nice pairing 🙂 The Bear, for me, represents money & windfalls. It’s all about financial matters.

And the #15 Kipper card, Love & Friendship, can mean the obvious of love and affection, but it can also mean a good outcome to something; a good financial outcome around this matter in another city.

Sun + #35 A Long Way-   The Sun card represents Success & Victory. It’s the glory and overcoming of any adversity. The Long Way card can actually mean “trouble”, or be describing a long term, over a long period of time. So I would combine this to mean success and victory over this problem, and it’s acknowledging that it’s taken a long time, but we get there in the end.

This worked better than I ever would have imagined. I would definitely recommend this technique to other Lenormand and Kipper lovers!

Using Sammie’s spread :)

Sammie introduced a spread on her blog that I really liked. I’ve used it with Playing cards and it worked really well…my plan was to originally publish that one, but it was a little too personal and would make me blush! lol so just this once, I’m going to post a Lenormand version of the spread. I won’t normally feature Lenormand here, because I have a separate blog dedicated to it, but being short on time, I thought I’d share this one:

I think I’m going to call this the “I’ spread, because it looks like a capital “I” –

The way I went about interpreting it was that the bottom part of the “I” is what I’m dealing with or hearing about now (present circmstances) and the top part of the “I” is something coming shortly.

I went on to assign the middle vertical as the Summary, or the Trigger point. The cross fans give a little more info….   so here it goes! :

The Bottom – Present: Tower+Mountain+Ship –  For me, I think this represent that there have been legal delays with the situation at a distance in the states….after just being awarded judgement, it’s been impossible to get a hold of the lawyer to finish business! very frustrating-

The Top – What’s coming: House+Horseman+Book – I could take this a couple of ways; I might have a surprise (book) visitor coming to the home, or there could be a surprise new addition to the home (???) or there is surprising news coming to the family… or we’re starting on a new project around the house (Horseman+Book).

Any of the above could be it, or all of the above could be it! lol will just have to wait and see –

Vertical stem- Summary or Trigger point: Horseman+Woman+Mountain –  I’m starting to wonder if we’re going to hear from, or news about the woman (crook) who is 1) distant, 2)lonely &/or a loner 3) isolated, 4) lives in the mountains!

Criss cross 1- Tower+Woman+Book – I can’t help it, I keep getting that there is going to be a secret revealed around this woman, possibly to do with her other legal matters (she has numerous) this seems to say “Big secret”! lol

Criss Cross 2 – House+Woman+Ship- If this is the same woman, then it looks like she’s moving away, moving house again (something she’s done quite a few times) –

That tells an interesting story…. and like Madame Seaqueen’s Trigger layout, when you combine the other cards with the woman, it doesn’t necessarily refer to you! just something that is in your field at the moment. As I was writing this up, another story came to me, that popped as well  –

I wonder if this might be referring to a woman connected to the family who lives at a distance? (House+Woman+Ship)  like hubby’s daughter in NF?

The bottom “I”, (Tower+Mountain+Ship) could be describing delays upon delays around her transferring from her banking job there….she is wanting to move away and onto something else.

The top “I”, (House+Horseman+Book) could be saying that we get a surprise visit from her, or she surprises us by moving back home for awhile….

The other cross, (Tower+Woman+Book) would show surprises around her work, or something revealed about it…. it could also describe her researching other positions within the banking field…

I came to this completely different idea, because of the stem of the “I”. (Horseman+Woman+Mountain) said to me “news coming from the distant, reserved woman”…and that’s definitely my stepdaughter! lol she’s a very very lovely gal, good heart, but she is definitely a bean counter!

So this exercise with Sammie’s great spread, is either having to do with legal issues that we have, or job/banking issues with our daughter.

This is a great spread Sammie! I got alot of information with it, and equally so with the playing card version that I did. This is a keeper!  Thanks for sharing it 🙂
